In Drammen, our main focus has been the development of high-efficiency power supplies for telecom and critical infrastructure. We deliver solutions that ensure stable and efficient energy supply for networks, data centers, and systems with high uptime requirements.
We have extensive experience in DC power supply and conversion technology for telecom networks and industrial applications. In short: We are known for reliable and energy-efficient power solutions – with a strong global position and a technological hub right here in Drammen.
The R&D department in Drammen develops market-leading rectifiers and inverters for large international customers around the globe.
Our Certification and Validation department within R&D, perform internal and external tests on all our products. The team are responsible for testing during the development- as well as the maintenance phases. This ensures correct functionality and high quality, and includes testing of EMC, functionality, systems, components, temperature, efficiency, and product characterization. A key focus is the automation of these activities.
To consistently meet deadlines, deliver on our commitments and safeguard our position as a technology leader in the industry, we will further strengthen and scale our test team with a Validation Engineer.
Main responsibilities and tasks in this role
Conduct testing of rectifiers, controllers, and power systems according to test plans
Create and develop test set-ups
Develop automatic testing by using Python and software-controlled measuring equipment
Deliver reports and communicate test results/observations back to project/product manager
Leverage available data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement across our processes and products.
Close collaboration with other technical recourses as developers
Professional qualifications for the role
BSc./MSc. in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related fields
2-3 years of relevant experience as a minimum
Familiar with current and voltage measurement instruments for testing and validation (like oscilloscopes, power meters, temperature chambers, EMC setups, and similar)
programming and automation experience is an advantage.
Fluent in Norwegian and English language, both written and oral.
